Welcome to The Impact.
Cleo's newest and latest project that she's working on – 'The Impact'.
"A new and innovative project based on the idea of the non-verbal, creative mind. In a world that is being taken over by AI, I am to bring back the powerful connection and relationship between the artistic and musical mind. As someone who has grown up neurodivergent in a world designed for neurotypicals, I have always struggled to communicate verbally. As a child, I used to only communicate using drawings and sketches, especially when the emotion I was feeling didn't have a word to describe it. Words are limited. Creative ability is endless. There are some feelings and states of mind that can only and solely be communicated and expressed artistically. Through this project, I have created a number of different pieces of art, which will act as the starting point for each song", Cleo states.

She explains, " The Impact will be a 5/6 track EP working around this idea of non-verbal communication. I don't currently have a release date, but I have created some prototypes that I have released with the intention of testing how the idea reacts with the public, rather than how the public react with the idea. "

Below are some prototypes of her latest project:

Cleo doesn't believe in naming her own tracks. She prefers to leave the name up to someone else to decide for themselves, or blank entirely. She often names her songs with numbers, or individual letters that hold no meaning. This is the first example of the two. Track 1's artwork takes inspiration from the letters CC, which make up Cleo's full name, and works around that, and a mixed feeling of emotions and thoughts. She believes that if a track has reached the right people, the meaning and 'title' will speak for itself; she doesn't want to pre-determine or put any thoughts into someones head about the story of the composition before they have had a chance to translate it themselves. Track 1 takes an interesting twist on orchestral strings, using Spitfire's 'Original Intimate Strings' as the core element.

This particular track stems from feelings of unease. Most of Cleo's inspiration and starting points come from feelings of unease/discomfort as these are the hardest to communicate yet the most commonly felt. The artwork form of the feelings is oddly comforting yet uncomfortable, signifying that most of the time we take comfort in unpleasant feelings, as they are familiar to us. Keeping artwork simple is a core idea of Cleo's new EP, as the focus will primarily be on the composition and the audio content. Colours play a very important role in auditory perception and translation, and each track will focus on new and different colour pallettes. These are only a couple of simple prototypes, but expect big things from this upcoming experiment/EP.
